We understand how disappointing it can be to cancel an expedition. Months of preparation, training, and anticipation go into every journey, and having to withdraw can be frustrating.
At Kailasa Treks and Expeditions, we aim to keep our cancellation process fair, transparent, and adventure-friendly while also managing the logistics and commitments required to organize high-altitude expeditions.
We understand how disappointing it can be to cancel an expedition. Months of preparation, training, and anticipation go into every journey, and having to withdraw can be frustrating. At Kailasa Treks & Expeditions™ , we strive to make the process fair and flexible with our adventure friendly cancellation policy.
More than 60 days before the expedition’s start date:
Future Credit Option –
100% of the amount paid can be transferred as a future expedition credit.
A voucher of the same value will be issued.
The voucher is valid for one year from the original expedition date.
It can be used for any trek or expedition organized by Kailasa Treks and Expeditions.
Any difference in price due to revised expedition costs will be payable.
Refund Option –
85% of the expedition fee will be refunded.
Refunds will be processed through the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
 Between 60 to 30 days before the expedition’s start date:
Future Credit Option –
85% credit if transferred to the same participant name.
75% credit if transferred to another participant.
Voucher validity: 1 year from the original expedition date.
Refund Option –
70% refund of the expedition fee.
Processed within 7–10 business days.
Between 30 to 10 days before the expedition’s start date:
Future Credit Option
70% credit (same participant name).
65% credit (transfer to different participant).
Voucher validity: 1 year.
Refund Option:
40% refund of the expedition fee.
Processed within 7–10 business days.
Less than 10 days before the expedition’s start date:
Refunds are not applicable.
Future Credit Option
50% credit (same participant name).
40% credit (transfer to different participant).
Voucher validity: 1 year from the original expedition date.
Expedition Cancellation by Kailasa Treks and Expeditions
Before the Expedition Begins
Although rare, expeditions may be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
Natural disasters (storms, floods, earthquakes, landslides)
Political unrest
Government restrictions
Safety hazards
Other unavoidable circumstances
In such cases, participants will receive a voucher for 100% of the amount paid as future expedition credit.
The voucher will remain valid for one year from the original expedition date.
After the Expedition Has Started
If the expedition must be cancelled after commencement due to:
Natural calamities
Government restrictions
Political instability
Safety hazards
Objective or subjective risks in the mountains
No refunds or vouchers will be issued.
Important Notes
Future expedition prices may change; any price difference must be paid accordingly.
Future credit vouchers are subject to the conditions mentioned above.
No refunds will be provided for no-shows.
If a participant voluntarily leaves the expedition or trek midway for any reason, no refund or credit will be issued.
