Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Arrive in Leh and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is kept free to rest and recover from travel. Complete rest is recommended to help the body begin acclimatizing to the high altitude.

Day 2: Acclimatization in Leh

Full day reserved for acclimatization. Light sightseeing around Leh such as Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, or local markets may be done at a relaxed pace. This day is crucial for adapting to altitude before moving into higher regions.

Day 3: Leh → Lato (Drive)

Drive from Leh to Lato village. The scenic drive introduces you to the rugged landscapes of Ladakh. On arrival, settle in and rest.

Day 4: Lato → Shiul Sumdo

Begin trekking from Lato towards Shiul Sumdo. The trail passes through remote valleys with stunning mountain views. Reach Shiul Sumdo and set up camp for the night.

Day 5: Shiul Sumdo → Chaksung via Shiul Pass

Trek from Shiul Sumdo to Chaksung crossing the Shiul Pass. This is a challenging yet rewarding day with expansive views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.

Day 6: Chaksung → Dzo Jongo Base Camp via Chak Pass

Trek to Dzo Jongo Base Camp crossing Chak Pass. The terrain becomes increasingly alpine as you approach base camp. Upon arrival, establish base camp and rest.

Day 7: Acclimatization at Base Camp

Rest and acclimatization day at base camp. Short acclimatization walks and basic technical training may be conducted. This day is essential to prepare the body for summit efforts.

Day 8: Base Camp → High Camp (West Peak)

Move from Base Camp to High Camp for Dzo Jongo West Peak. Carry necessary climbing gear and establish High Camp.

Day 9: Summit Day – Dzo Jongo West Peak & Return to Base Camp

Early morning summit push for Dzo Jongo West Peak. After reaching the summit and spending some time enjoying the panoramic Himalayan views, descend carefully back to Base Camp.

Day 10: Base Camp → Chokdo via Kongmaru La, Drive to Leh

Trek from Base Camp to Chokdo crossing the famous Kongmaru La Pass. After reaching Chokdo, drive back to Leh.
Overnight: Hotel in Leh


Day 11: Reserve Day

A buffer day reserved for bad weather or any delays during the expedition. This day will be used only if required.
Overnight: Leh


Day 12: Departure from Leh
